Guides & Reflections
In loving memory of Eli, our sister in dance movement therapy and yoga
These pieces are for practice; small invitations to reconnect with your body in the midst of everyday life. They are not a replacement for therapy, crisis support, or individualized medical care, but rather gentle invitations to explore embodiment, offer small moments of regulation, and offer you a taste of somatic practices.
Each guide offers a way to pause, feel, breathe, and notice what’s alive within you right now. Some are structured somatic exercises; others are quiet reflections drawn from the collective experience of living in a complex, often overwhelming world.
The Mindfulness Body Scan
Explore a simple body scan practice to reduce stress, support your nervous system, and reconnect with your body using breath and gentle awareness.
Opposite Energy for Shifting Your State
Try a guided movement practice that plays with your body’s natural impulses and their opposites to explore emotion, shift energy, and build self‑awareness.
Drawing and Writing for Emotional Release
Explore a gentle drawing or writing practice that helps you express emotions, reduce stress, and listen to your inner world without needing the perfect words.
You can pause anywhere, move as you read, or take notes in your own way. Nothing here needs to be done perfectly.
These guides are simply invitations to remember what your body already knows.
If you ever feel that these practices bring up more than you want to hold alone, you are welcome to reach out to explore working together or to connect with additional support in your area.
