Liberated Body Circle is a weekly online space to come home to your body. This is not a place to perform, fix yourself, or try to fit a certain image. It is a space to feel, witness, and rest in your own skin, alongside others who are also learning to listen to their bodies.
Rooted in decolonial somatic care and informed by both yoga and dance movement therapy, the circle sits gently between structured class and open exploration. It offers embodied presence, communal witnessing, and a quiet form of resistance to the pace and pressures of everyday life.
Sessions are low‑cost and drop‑in, so you can return when it feels right rather than committing before you are ready. Whether you are new to embodiment work or already exploring yoga, DMT, or other somatic practices, this circle is designed as a soft gateway into a deeper relationship with your body.
What happens in the Liberated Body Circle?
Each gathering follows a simple, repeatable rhythm:
Arriving and grounding: We begin by settling into the body with breath, gentle orientation to the space, and a brief intention that honors land, ancestors, and the ways colonial and capitalist rhythms ask us to move too fast for too long.
Gentle somatic practice: We then explore simple, guided somatic invitations such as micro‑movements, soft stretching, stillness, or supportive touch (like placing a hand where it feels grounding). Prompts might include questions like “Where do I feel held?” or “Where does my body want to sigh or soften today?” You always choose how much or how little you participate.
Optional sharing: There is space for brief sharing, if you choose, in a sentence or two. This is offered so we can feel less alone in our experiences, not to turn the space into group therapy or a performance.
Closing and integration: We close with a small embodied anchor, such as a hand on the heart, a quiet hum, a sway, or a silent “thank you” to the body. This helps carry a sense of care and connection with you after the call ends.
You are welcome to keep your camera on or off, to move a lot or very little, and to adapt each suggestion to what feels honest and doable for your body.
Who this circle is for
This circle is especially for you if:
You often feel disconnected from your body or mostly “in your head.”
You are curious about decolonial, somatic care and want to experience what slowing down in community can feel like.
You want a low‑pressure, low‑cost way to explore embodiment, without the intensity of a therapy session or the structure of a traditional yoga class.
You are considering deeper work (DMT, yoga & embodied movement, workshops) and would like a soft, recurring place to begin.
All bodies, identities, and levels of experience are welcome.
